In Bancheny village you will see: Orthodox Holy Ascension Monastery, Cathedral of the Annunciation chapel of St. Kukshi, Holy Transfiguration Monastery with 65 metre bell tower, Holy Trinity Cathedral and the monastery cemetery.

We’ll then move to Bila Krynycia village– settled in the first half of the 19th century. - The center of the Russian Orthodox Metropolis church of Old Believers in Eastern Europe. Tour the Uspensky Cathedral convent (Built 1908), Cosmas and Damian Churches.

In the Chernivtsi region have over 10 Orthodox monasteries. Some of them were founded in the late 15th century and revived in the years of post Soviet religious freedom, while others - were founded recently. We offer you sightseeing of two unique Bukovynian monasteries - Banchenskyy and White-Krynytskyi monasteries.
Banchenskyy Holy Ascension Monastery
Despite its recent foundation - in 1996, this monastery is considered one of the largest and most beautiful monasteries in Ukraine. The monastery is located in Gertsaevsky village, Chernivtsi region. 95% of the region's population are ethnic Romanians. Distance from the monastery to the regional center - Chernivtsi – is about 25 km. Here you will experience a real Romanian village! We’ll tour the Ascension Cathedral, Church of the Intercession with a bell tower height of 65 m. Trinity Cathedral - the largest and most luxurious of the Orthodox church built in the new times Ukraine.
Bila Krynycia
This village is connected with the history of the Russian Old Believer Church. Fleeing religious persecution and Russian military conscription in 1770, followers fled to the south and with the permission of the Austrian authorities settled in the Bukovina region. In 1830 the monastery was founded here, and Bila Krynycia became the centre and seat of the Old Believers Metropolitan. In the years 1901-1908 the magnificent Church of the Assumption Cathedral was erected. Designed by Viennese architect clicks and expense in the Psevdorussian (Onion) style and funded by Moscow merchant G. Ovsyannikov with more than half a million gold rubles.
